Traore on commitment to the cause

Adama Traore insists the commitment levels in Wolves’ performance against Liverpool will be the benchmark for the rest of the season.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side went toe-to-toe with the Premier League leaders at Molineux and Traore set up Raul Jimenez for the equaliser during an impressive second-half. Unfortunately, the Reds found a way through to win the game, but Wolves’ commitment to the cause gave Traore comfort going into a busy second half of the season.

On a whole-hearted performance

“Every player on the pitch, every fight, one versus one, we went 100 per cent. This is what the manager said to us. Unfortunately, we were not clinical, but we take good and bad things, and keep going.

“We fought until the end. We gave 100 per cent and the team worked so hard. We’re disappointed because we didn’t take any points, but with this experience, we keep learning.”

On competing with Liverpool

“We cannot forget, Liverpool are an amazing team. They are in the best in Europe and the world, so congratulations to them, how they’re going to win the league, but we fight every game, whatever team is in front of us.

“Of course, we didn’t win, but we were against a great team. We’ll watch the game again and keep fighting.

“We’re sad because we didn’t take any points, but we have to take the positive things. It was a great team in front of us, but we’ll watch our errors and keep going. This is what we do and we’ll keep doing until the end."
