Kilman proud after full Premier League debut

Maximilian Kilman was brimming with pride after making his full Premier League debut on Sunday.

The defender, who has started three Europa League ties this season, was given his league opportunity against Sheffield United. The 22-year-old competed well against the Blades’ front men, as Wolves fought back to earn a point, and is now looking to kick-on in old gold.

On his Premier League debut

“It was unbelievable, I never expected to be playing a couple of years ago, to finally get that first game, I’m very relieved and really happy.

“I already made my debut at the Molineux, but I just thought just take the game normally, it’s just a game of football, something to build on and go from there.”

On a competitive game

“Sheffield United are a very intense side. They came at us really quick and we took quite a while to get into it.

“But, I think in the second-half we started to dominate and really turned the game around. We matched them with intensity and showed them how good we are on the ball.”

On the quick turnaround

“I think we have a lot of games, more than some other teams, so we have to really stick together and really play together when the games start.

“I think we did that really well, especially coming from the game we had on Thursday, which was really tough.

“We feel like we’ve become very strong together, we’re all very close with each other, so I think that’s very important.”

On the future

“I never change, I always need to keep my head down and keep working. Whatever team is out there, our main focus is to win and get the result.”
