Neto relieved to be back

Pedro Neto says he is back doing what he “likes to do” after making his return from injury at Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Portuguese missed Wolves’ previous three matches due to heel bruising but came off the bench to help his side earn a point at St James’ Park. With a glut of fixtures on the horizon, Neto is eyeing more minutes and wants Wolves to build on what he described as a “good draw” in the north east.

On his personal return

“For me it was very good because for three weeks I didn’t do what I like to do, it’s very difficult, but now I’m back and ready to help the team again.

“I feel very good and now I want to feel like this in the other games.

“I have played many games this year, of course I want to have more minutes, but I have to work to have more minutes too. We will see.”

On the draw at Newcastle

“We did a very good game. I thought that the second-half we did better than the first-half and we could have won the game, but we have a good draw.

“We are a team that fights until the end and we showed again that we can do more than the other teams and we showed that we have a good spirit.

“We thought that we could win the game in this last minute through Doc (Doherty), it was a very good play, but it was a good result here at a difficult pitch.”

On the volume of games

“We had a lot of games in these last few weeks but on Sunday we did a good game. It was difficult but it was a good result.

“We are a team that wants more and more and of course we will arrive on Wednesday to win.”
