Jota to miss Besiktas tie

Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed Diogo Jota is out of Wolves’ Europa League tie at Besiktas on Thursday.

In his pre-match press conference, the head coach confirmed his forward has not travelled with the rest of the squad to Turkey due to a toe injury.

The injury was picked up prior to Wolves’ Premier League fixture at Crystal Palace, where the Portuguese scored a late equaliser, and ruled him out of Saturday’s victory over Watford.

After confirming his absence in Turkey, Nuno admitted he'll "wait and see" if Jota will be available at Manchester City on Sunday.
