Traore: We will give everything in Europa League

Adama Traore insists his Wolves teammates are working hard on erasing their defensive errors ahead of the visit of Braga to Molineux this week.

Wolves return to Europa League football on Thursday evening after their successful qualifying campaign saw the side concede just four goals in six matches, but following defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, Traore knows that the team must focus on tightening up defensively.

On bouncing back from Chelsea loss

“We are all looking forward to the game on Thursday night, but the first thing we have to do is work on our errors from Saturday.

“It was tough for us, losing five goals at home, but we’re going to have to think about it, work on those errors, keep going and keep pushing ahead of Thursday.

“But we trust the process of the coach, we trust the process of our teammates, but whatever we say we cannot change the result, we just need to focus on those errors, work hard on making sure we don’t do that again and improve.”

On threat of Braga

“I think any team in the Europa League are a good team who we will respect going up against them. We will give everything, try to play and try to beat any team.

“Having Portuguese players in the squad and having a Portuguese coach can definitely help us. They come from there, they know how they play, they know the players, they know the league, and they have played teams like Braga many times before.

“Any help to win and move forward to be a better team is perfect. It would be the same for me if we were playing against a team from Spain; I come from there and I know the mentality and how the teams play.”

On his European performances

“Any player wants to play in Europe, but the Europa League is exciting, it is a new thing for us and it’s a good thing.

“But whatever the competition, I want to be the best I can be and give the best I can.”
