The pair arrived at Molineux this summer from Real Madrid and AC Milan respectively and are in line for their Wolves debuts in the Europa League qualifier. They will join Raul Jimenez and Matt Doherty on the flight, who are fit for the trip to Armenia, and Nuno shed some light on the fitness of his squad in his pre-match press conference.
On Cutrone and Vallejo
“They’re going to travel with us, Cutrone and Jesus. The squad is going to travel with us, it’s not a large squad, it’s a short squad, very subtle and very willing to challenge themselves.”
On Jimenez
“He had a big knock (against Crusaders), he’s had a couple of days of recovery, but he’s okay now. He’s ready to go.”
On Doherty
“Matt’s going to travel with us. He had a knock, with a problem, but he didn’t lose his shape. It’s not that he stopped, he was working. He started this week and he’s doing very well.”
On Neto and Jordao
“They came late and still have the normal process of integration into the team, getting the best fitness, so they are not available for this trip.
“They will bring new solutions, new options and always good things that we expect - always the same things.
“They’re talented boys, so let’s work them well and prepare them well for a big challenge which is playing in the best competition in the world – the Premier League. Everybody has to be ready.”
On Gibbs-White
“He still has the training for today. He had a knock (against Crusaders) on this one-v-one, it was a penalty, he didn’t fall down, but he had a kick, so we’re not sure if he’s going to travel with us or not.”
On the travel
“It’s the reality, it’s very far, but we’ll prepare well. We going to fly and on the flights we’ll make this time useful, trying to rush the recovery of the players with good food.
“We have to do it and it’s a challenge for us, we have to embrace it, I’m not worried, we are ready and we’re going to do our best, that’s the philosophy here.”
On the trip
“It’s hours of flight but we have to do it. What’s most important is that we prepare for it well. We’re going to travel and we’re going to play, then we’re going to think about Leicester.”
