Performance over goal for Neves

While delighted to break the deadlock with his latest stunning free-kick, it was the overall team performance which gave him most satisfaction.

After three games without a victory, Wolves bounced back in style against the Gunners to return to seventh in the Premier League. Neves impressed in the midfield and his free-kick, which flew over the Arsenal wall on its way in, set the tone for an impressive performance.

On his special moment

“It was a good goal. I was confident to take the free-kick. I’m happy for the goal, but mainly for the performance of all the team. I think we deserved this win and we are looking forward to the next game.”

On a dominant display

“It was a very good game for us. I think we controlled all the game, three goals in the first-half was very good for us and after we just had to control.

“Arsenal had more ball, it’s normal. They were losing 3-0, they were looking for the goal, but I think we controlled, they didn’t have too many chances and it’s really deserved for us.

“We had to bounce back from the last three games - we did it and we did it well.”

On the difference from Saturday

“We got our chances on Saturday as well, unfortunately we didn’t find the way to the goal, but I think we bounced back really good against a good team. That’s the way and three games to go.”

On the Molineux atmosphere

“It’s unbelievable. We are thankful for our fans, to all the support. Even in bad moments, we were three games without a win, so thanks to all the fans and keep going with us because we have a lot of good things to achieve.”

On looking ahead

“We have to look forward now, three games to go, a lot of work to do, and we know what we want.

“It’s a really good game (on Saturday). They have a great team, they are fighting for the same thing, so it’s one more game. We’ll play the same way to try get the win.”
