Jonny joins Wolves permanently

Wolves have signed Jonny Otto on a permanent transfer after a successful loan spell.

The Spaniard has agreed a permanent deal at Molineux until 2023, having spent the first half to season on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Jonny has made a massive impact since arriving in the summer, appearing 22 times in gold and black, predominantly in the left wing-back position.

The 24-year-old’s finest moment arrived in September, when he netted his first Premier League goal in a 2-0 victory over Southampton at Molineux.

The defender’s performances in the West Midlands also earned him a first full Spanish call up in the autumn.

Wolves become Jonny’s third permanent club, after he progressed through the Celta Vigo system to make more than 200 appearances for the club, the majority of which came in La Liga.

Last summer the Spaniard swapped Celta Vigo for Atletico Madrid, and immediately joined Wolves on loan, where he’s hit the ground running.

On Tuesday he put in another commendable performance in Wolves’ 3-0 victory over West Ham United, where he left the pitch to chants of “sign him up”.

Welcome, Jonny.
