The defender had played every minute of Premier League football this season, until being dismissed at the Etihad Stadium on Monday. Now, Wolves have prepared for a return to action without the Frenchman, who could be replaced at the back by either Leander Dendoncker or Romain Saiss, and Nuno has reiterated his faith in his squad.
On filling Boly’s place
“What I find, when a squad is short of player numbers, they have to have the mentality to cope with those kinds of moments, and we have it.
“We are completely comfortable with the decision that we’re going to have to make and are completely confident that it will work out.
“It’s versatility, it’s about being versatile. When you know the idea of the team, you are capable to deal with different positions, but there is no such thing of developing a player in various positions, what you have to do is work on where you want your players to compete.”
On Boly suspension
“It’s something that can happen during the game, he knows that was not a good approach, not the best things to happen in that moment, and now he has to prepare himself for when he’s available again.”
On the efforts at the Etihad
“We know how hard it is to play a team like City with one man less, but at the same time we maintained our shape, maintained the tasks that we knew it would be impossible to avoid, but during that time the team was defending, trying to play and go out.
“Sometimes they did good, sometimes not, but in general they did pretty well for the circumstances which were involved.”
On admiration for Leicester
“I admire a lot. I respect a lot. I think it’s part of history what Leicester achieved before. It’s also part of history with the sad moment that, where all of sport, especially in Leicester, suffered with the death of their former owner.
“I have total admiration for them, but tomorrow my focus is to compete and try to help my players to do their best.”
