The visitors maintained their unbeaten Premier League campaign after goals from Mohammed Salah and Virgil van Dijk sealed a 2-0 victory at Molineux.
But Wolves worked hard to create several good chances, leaving Nuno pleased with the way his team performed.
On a positive start
“I think we started very well, there were chances for both teams, but I don’t think we maintained the consistency through the game.
“We didn’t start the second half that good, but even though we created chances there were moments when we could have made better decisions and had a little but more composure to be really hard on Liverpool, who are a very good team.
“But credit to Liverpool because the chances that they had, they nailed it, they put it inside and created a lot of problems.”
On creating chances
“This one is about final decisions and composure that sometimes the game requires, but I have nothing bad to say about the boys, they worked very hard and kept up the intensity.
“It is very hard to play against teams like Liverpool, especially when they are in front of goal, their counter attacks are very dangerous, but we were able to stay in the game for quite a while and we created chances.
“We still had time to try a different thing, but the boys worked very hard, it was a good game, and we keep on going.
“We have to now rest and prepare for the next game.”
On Wolves’ season so far
“I’m happy because of the way we work and the way we pass through all the moments football gives you – good moments, bad moments, moments when you may not have played so good so you have to find solutions, we’ve found them, and I think we’ve played good.
“We are consistent, but the table doesn’t mean anything.”
On largest attendance at ‘modern’ Molineux
“The support that we had was fantastic. I think our fans deserved at least one goal, because the chances that we created was enough to do it.
“I’m very pleased with the record attendance, thank you to all of the fans, and Merry Christmas.”
