A late header by Oskar Buur provided a league debut to remember for the youngster, who earned Wolves a crucial point against Hull City.
The defender, who has impressed for Scott Sellars’ Under-23s this season, came off the bench to head home Barry Douglas’ cross in what was an entertaining contest at Molineux.
The returning Diogo Jota had put the hosts in front early on, winning and scoring a penalty, before David Meyler repeated the trick to equalise for Hull.
Ryan Bennett’s own goal had appeared to snatch Hull an unlikely win, but Buur had other ideas, planting a header into the corner to ensure the points were shared.
Wolves started brightly at Molineux and it took just two minutes for the first attempt to arrive, with Romain Saiss calling Allan McGregor into action with a header.
Bennett also threatened early on, before Meyler wasted a clever Hull free-kick by slicing wide after the ball had dropped invitingly.
When the teams were announced, many will have been surprised to see Jota’s name on the team sheet, but Wolves’ top scorer wasted no time reintroducing himself to the home supporters.
A cleaver turn inside the box by Jota enticed a trip from Michael Hector and Darren England pointed straight to the spot. Jota made up for lost time by sending McGregor the wrong way from 12 yards.
The forward was up for the fight like he’d never been away and only a heavy touch meant he was thwarted by McGregor, before the goalkeeper kept out Helder Costa’s rebound with his feet.
Wolves looked impressive and Costa miscued an effort soon after, however once the tempo dropped the hosts gifted Hull a route back into the contest.
Costa was too relaxed in possession on the edge of his own box and his stray pass put Roderick Miranda in trouble, with the defender pulling back Meyler for another penalty.
Like Jota, Meyler sent John Ruddy the wrong way to draw his side level at Molineux and that strike would nullify the first-half as a spectacle as the two sides went in level.

At the break Nuno Espirito Santo mixed things up, with Benik Afobe replacing Miranda and Cavaleiro slotting into a right wing-back role for the second period.
However, the hosts took their time to get going after the break and when Jon Toral picked out Temitayo Aina, the winger should have scored, but Ruddy raced off his line to save.
The same man again threatened minutes later, but Aina’s effort from the edge of the box rolled harmlessly wide.
At the other end, Jota twisted and turned, but Afobe couldn’t get the resulting shot on target, before youngster, Buur was given his league debut in place of Jota.
Seconds later the visitors should have taken the lead, as Hector’s header from close range was kept out by the outside of the post.
With 76 minutes remaining Wolves made their final change, with Morgan Gibbs-White replacing Alfred N’Diaye, however soon after the visitors edged in front.
Kamil Grosicki beat two men and fired an effort across goal, and Bennett turned into his own net under pressure from Fraizer Campbell.
Not letting their heads drop, Wolves quickly set out on the attack and what arrived next was a moment to remember for Buur.
A lovely cross by Douglas was inviting the youngster, with Burr stooping to head the ball and watch it nestle perfectly in the corner, beyond McGregor.
Wolves even nearly snatched a winner late on, but Boly’s speculative drive from range was kept out at full-stretch by McGregor as the two teams finished level.
