Wolves Subsidise Leeds United Tickets

Wolves are delighted to announce that tickets for March's midweek trip to Leeds United will be subsidised by the club.

The visit to Elland Road is one of four games on the road in the space of three weeks, so the club has moved to ease the burden on supporters, who have already been travelling in vast numbers throughout the season.

Originally priced at £37 for adults and £25 for concessions for a fixture live on Sky Sports, the subsidy sees tickets prices drop to £30 and £20 respectively.

"We are placing a significant amount of focus on all of our remaining fixtures between now and the end of the season,” said Wolves’ Managing Director Laurie Dalrymple. “With the Leeds game being on a Wednesday evening and selected for TV we want to make sure as many of our supporters as possible are able to attend the game, and we hope this gesture will go some way to ensuring that it's as affordable as possible and we see a capacity take up of travelling fans to Elland Road.

"We have sold out Preston on Saturday with an incredible 5,600 making the trip, and only yesterday announced a further 500 Fulham tickets were going on sale to meet demand, so I have no doubt that we will take another huge following to West Yorkshire on the 7th March.

"Our travelling support has been magnificent all season, and this is another way of showing our continued appreciation to those of you who have played a part in an excellent campaign so far."

Addressing next season’s ticket prices, Dalrymple added, "I am aware that fans are beginning to want clarity regarding our pricing policy for the 2018/19 season, which we are currently in the process of finalising.

“The pricing plan will be communicated shortly, and I hope it continues to demonstrate that we understand the sensitivities around ticket pricing and are determined to ensure that we are offering value to fans who make a significant commitment to support their club.

“We will also continue to offer initiatives and subsidies such as this or free coach travel, as we give something back to the fans who make this club so special.”
