Wolves travel to Ashton Gate to face second-place Bristol City (5:30pm) on the back of a 2-2 draw with Millwall on Boxing Day.
The reverse fixture produced a dramatic 3-3 draw at Molineux back in September, something that Nuno doesn’t expect to see again on Saturday.
Focussing on the evening kick off, Nuno praised Bristol boss Lee Johnson and says that he is expecting a ‘good and tough game’.
“I don’t think that this will be a similar game to the one at Molineux, it’s going to be different.,” the Wolves Head Coach said.
“Since then, both teams have changed, both teams have grown and I think Bristol is a good team, definitely.
“Lee Johnson must be congratulated for the job that he is doing in Bristol.
“I don’t expect a similar game but I expect a good and a tough game of football.
“We are not yet in January but nothing is decided in January - the competition still has a long way to go.
“We go game by game.
“It’s up to us to find solutions so each questions make you better inside the game.
“That doesn’t give you enough to say that the result is going to come - every game is important so we cannot relax, we have to keep on pushing, we have to keep on going and prove to ourselves that we are able to deal with all the questions that are being made and give good answers.
“Good answers and good performances - the credit goes all to the players because of the way they prepare and the way they face the competition.
“The way they stick together, helping and supporting each other - it’s a team.
“‘We, as a group, keep our focus on ourselves’ - this is what I say to the boys.
“‘Let’s look as us, let’s look at what we have to do and to challenge ourselves on Saturday.’
“It’s going to be a tough game but we are ready to go and we are ready to put answers to the questions. And we are ourselves going to put new questions to Bristol, let’s see how it goes.”
Wolves are unbeaten in their last ten league games having won eight and drawing two.
Tuesday’s draw with Millwall saw both Ivan Cavaleiro and Willy Boly withdrawn with slight injuries.
Nuno revealed that both are available for the trip to Bristol and praised all of his players for the hard work they have put in, in order to cope with the number of games being asked of them.
He continued, “We had a couple of issues with injuries but the players have recovered well so we are ready and everybody is ready to go.
“The credit goes to the way the players have worked since the beginning of the season with all of the days of hard work in pre season.
“This gives you the ability to go day after day, game after game - fit and ready to perform.
“We have ideas on the football pitch - finding new movement, finding new solutions and I’m really, really confident about that because this is the growing that I expect from the team.”
