Wolves ended a 13-game winless November run stretching back to 2013 in some style last month, winning all four fixtures, scoring 13 goals and conceding just two.
Wolves’ Head Coach dedicated the award to everyone at the club, and was photographed with members of his backroom staff including long-serving kitman Ron Picken, who was named as an EFL Club Hero back in 2015.
“It feels good to be named manager of the month,” said Nuno.
“It feels good, not only for us as staff, but also for the club – the squad, the players, the fans.
“It is an award deserved by the club for the work which everyone has done.
“Every person is important, every detail, and every help that a player receives to make him perform better.
“That is why I have more of the staff in the photo – it is about all the people who work to help us and for the fans.
“We have to think step by step, and now it is about preparing and being ready to play on Saturday.”
Nuno claimed the award having been named on a shortlist alongside Aston Villa’s Steve Bruce, Reading’s Jaap Stam and Cardiff City’s Neil Warnock.
Player of the Month for November is former Wolves striker Leon Clarke, who edges out Wolves’ defender Barry Douglas, Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah and Derby County striker Matej Vydra.
It was the latest in a string of nominations for Douglas following his impressive start to his Wolves career, and he is also now in the running for the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month for November.
Douglas’ free kick against Leeds has landed him the nomination which sees him up against Sheffield Wednesday’s Adam Reach, for his goal against Aston Villa, and Danny Ward, for his strike for Cardiff against Nottingham Forest.
