Winger Zeli Ismail has joined Cambridge United on emergency loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old was on loan with Burton Albion earlier this season before picking up an injury, and has just spent a month with Oxford United, where he made six appearances from the substitutes bench.
With Oxford having several previously injured players returning, Ismail was back at Molineux and has now agreed the temporary switch to Cambridge, currently 12th in Sky Bet League Two and three points adrift of the play-offs.
The loan will see Ismail link up again with U’s boss Shaun Derry, under whom he enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Notts County at the start of the 2014/15 season.
The loan was completed in time for Ismail to be available for Cambridge’s home game with Exeter this afternoon.
