With a number of players sidelined through injury Wolves have only been able to name an unchanged side nine times throughout the 2015/16 campaign.
Discussing his squad, Jackett said: "We are looking for the team to settle down and when we get some players back from injury it will. For people to get into the groove of playing.
"For some of our younger players who aren’t too young. It’s their time now to gradually improve. To understand each other and improve cohesion as well as improving individually.
"Training can undoubtedly help you but the games conformation of that standard you are at.
"You can do all the training that you want – you actually gain confidence by doing it in a game no matter what level you operate at.
"Then once you have gained that confidence you can start to get a foothold, start to improve, start to learn.
"You can then have that consistency around you. If you are the right age group you can then start to improve as a group."
Saturday marks a return to Sky Bet Championship action as Wolves take on Ipswich after the Easter international break.
"It has been long. We would have rather have kept playing. It was strange not to play games over Easter," explained the Head Coach.
"With League 1 and League 2 there was lots of football and we had a lot of players involved in internationals.
"Carl Ikeme managed to play one game for Nigeria before he was ill.
"Both Dominic Iorfa and Kortney Hause played a full game for England under-21s which is terrific for the club. They are top of their league and will hopefully qualify for the Championships in Poland next year.
"Matt Doherty has been with the Republic of Ireland squad and it’s great to see him back in that squad.
"Kevin McDonald has been away with Scotland.
"From our first team perspective there has been a lot of involvement and some very good performances, particularly with the two young boys going away with England and doing so well."
