Wolves are delighted to announce that captain Danny Batth has signed a new four-year contract, securing his future at Molineux until the summer of 2020.
Batth, who had a year remaining of his previous deal, has pledged his future to the club by putting pen to paper on the new long-term contract.
“Danny has been a big part of what we have been aiming to achieve here over the last few seasons, and he remains a big part of what we want to do going forward,” said Sporting Director Kevin Thelwell.
“We are delighted that he has signed a new four-year contract.
“He came through the Academy after arriving at the age of 10, and has since gone on to become a regular in the first team, and also our captain.
“Everyone at Wolves knows that not only he is a very good player and leader, he is also an excellent professional who sets high standards and is a shining example of the sort of player we want at the club.
“There has been interest in him from other clubs over the last couple of seasons, so it is great news for everybody concerned that he has pledged his long-term future to Wolves.”
Batth, who turned 26 yesterday, has captained Wolves for the last two seasons, and has remained as skipper as the club move into a new era under Head Coach Walter Zenga
In total he has made 159 appearances for Wolves in all competitions, and scored 11 goals.
