Winger Michal Zyro is facing surgery and a substantial spell on the sidelines with “multi-ligament damage” to his knee sustained in last night’s game at MK Dons.
Zyro was stretchered off after being on the end of a foul challenge just before half time, and a scan has revealed considerable damage to his knee.
A more precise timeframe to the Polish international's recovery will only be able to come following his surgery.
“Michal unfortunately sustained a significant multi-ligament knee injury during last night’s game,” said Wolves Head of Medical Phil Hayward.
“He will see a consultant this week and will undergo surgery once the swelling has subsided at some point in the next two weeks.
“He is expected to be out for a considerable time, and the timeframe will become more apparent following the surgery.”
Zyro had made an impressive start to his Wolves career, scoring three goals in his first two league games before suffering a calf injury from which he had recently returned.
