There are a lot of bright prospects

Kenny Jackett believes there will be first team opportunities for young Wolves players before the conclusion of the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship season.

With eight games of the current campaign remaining, the Head Coach explained that youngsters who have been on the fringes of first team action will be given a chance.

He said: "I think there will be opportunities for them, even just looking at our squad planning, there will be opportunities for one or two.

"There are quite a lot of bright prospects there that we hope continue to come through.

"And then there are one or two floating around the edge of the first team group.

"If that's accelerated by the end then there are players I would like to look at and people that I'll be very interested to see how they can cope with the Championship before the end of the year."

The gaffer also discussed player availability over the international break as Wolves approach a home clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

"We're hopeful of having James Henry near by the time we play Ipswich," explained Jackett.

"Mike Williamson as well. And David Edwards isn't too far behind.

"We don't want the season to fall away, we want to show a good hunger about us.

"The only thing that matters is how the club goes forward.

"We feel we're not far away and we have some developing players that are close now, and ready and hungry enough."
