Neves praises 'amazing' Wolves fans

Ruben Neves has stressed the importance of Wolves getting their Premier League season back on track after the recent victories over Chelsea and Newcastle.

The midfielder admitted it was a ‘great feeling’ to come away with maximum points from their previous pair of matches, but insists the players’ attention is already firmly fixed on the visit of Bournemouth to Molineux this afternoon.

On successive wins

They were two important games for us after a series of games where we weren’t able to win. We had six games without a win, so these last two games allowed us to return to our form and the most important thing now is to maintain the highest level possible.

“It’s a great feeling, it’s always good when we win, but winning in the last the last minute is always special because we feel like we deserved it.

“Thankfully we were able to score in the last minute as the game finished but either way, our fans are amazing, and they support us whatever the outcome.

“We know we have areas which we need to improve on game by game. We didn’t always play well and exactly how we wanted, but I think we controlled the game and deserved the win.”

On Bournemouth

“We started the season well. As we know it’s a very competitive league and we shouldn’t be thinking too far ahead. We need to take it game by game.

“Bournemouth are an excellent team who have had a great season as well. It will be an extremely difficult game, as all games are, but our objective is to win, as it always is.

“They have a good team and a very strong and fast attacking line, so we might have to adapt to that. They’ll try and make it hard for us, but we are working hard to be able to deal with what they throw at us and come out on top.

“I don’t think Bournemouth will come here and defend. I think Bournemouth will come here wanting to win, which is why I think it’ll be a great game because we are here to win too.

“I hope we can put on a spectacle.”

On playing in the Premier League

“Every player in the world dreams to play in the Premier League. Luckily, I have had the chance to play and be part of this fantastic league.

“I hope that I, along with my team, which is very important, we can have an excellent campaign.”
