Wolves Foundation to front shirts against Torino

Wolves Foundation will be represented on Wolves’ shirts for their Europa League tie with Torino on Thursday.

Due to sponsorship restrictions surrounding betting companies in Italy, Wolves will be unable to wear shirts showing their usual shirt sponsors ManBetX.

As a result, Wolves have offered, with the full support of ManBetX, the opportunity to Wolves Foundation, whose logo will replace the betting company as the primary sponsor on Thursday’s shirts.

The news represents more progress for the club’s official charity Wolves Foundation, who featured on first-team shirts for last season’s Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion, underneath the club crest.

Ahead of the fixture at the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium, head of Wolves Foundation Will Clowes spoke of the positive impact this exposure will have on the club’s official charity.

He said: “UEFA have given the club the opportunity to replace the shirt sponsor with a charity and, as the club’s official charity, we’re delighted to occupy the space for such a high-profile game, which will help raise the profile of the Foundation.

“The exposure this opportunity will give the Foundation will be fantastic. Hopefully this will allow more supporters to engage with us, understand what we do and get involved with some of our work.”

Furthermore, Wolves supporters have the opportunity to win a match worn shirt from Thursday’s Europa League tie, simply head over to @wwfcfoundation on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
