Sa wins latest Castore Player of the Month award

Wolves supporters have voted Josa Sa as their Castore Player of the Month for September, after impressive showings from the goalkeeper.

In his three games during September, the Portuguese helped Wolves to two clean sheets and victories on the road, at Watford and Southampton.

Also, in that win at St Mary’s, Sa provided the assist for Raul Jimenez’s special goal, firing a long-range pass into the Mexican’s path in the lead up to his first goal in ten months.

Before that goal, the 28-year-old produced a stunning double save to deny both Mohamed Elyounoussi and Che Adams with the score at 0-0.

In the voting, Sa scooped 39.15 per cent of the votes, seeing him finish ahead of Watford goal scorer Hee Chan Hwang and August winner Maximilian Kilman.

  • 1st | Jose Sa – 39.15%

  • 3rd | Maximilian Kilman – 21.7%
  • 4th | Joao Moutinho – 8.13%
