Traore insists Wolves 'will be better'

Adama Traore is adamant that his Wolves teammates will be hard at work as they try to get back to winning ways after Sunday afternoon’s frustrating 2-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

The disappointing result at Molineux meant Wolves have now not picked up a victory in their last five Premier League matches, but the winger insists the team will keep fighting.

“It was a difficult day for us,” Traore said. “Obviously we’re not happy because we didn’t win. It wasn’t the best performance, but we’re going to keep working.

“I don’t know why it was bad, we need to figure that out. Now we need to think about our errors, but we will keep fighting. We need to work hard, fight for every ball.

“Huddersfield worked so hard and they had a good game plan, so we need to think about making right every action and keep thinking about the errors and we will be better.”

Brought on by head coach Nuno Espirito Santo in place of Ivan Cavaleiro at half-time when Wolves were 1-0 down, Traore almost made an immediate impact when his cross was headed goalward by Raul Jimenez.

However, the ball was adjudged not to have fully crossed the line before it was cleared by Philip Billing.

Traore added: “After the half time I spoke with the manager and he told me to use my pace and try and break the defenders at the back and that is what I tried to do.

“But now the game is finished we think about the next game and we keep working to it.”
