The majority of Wolves’ playing staff returned for the first day of Nuno Espírito Santo’s Molineux tenure today, as preparations began for the 2017/18 season

A day of various stringent fitness testing took place as Nuno and his new backroom staff enjoyed their first official day at the Compton Park training ground, complete with two other new members of the coaching staff.

Julio Figueroa has joined the club as first team coach and Joao Lapa as Rehabilitation Coach, joining assistant head coach Rui Pedro Silva, goalkeeping coach Rui Barbosa and fitness coach Antonio Dias.

Preparations are now underway for the new season which kicks off against Middlesbrough at Molineux on Saturday, August 5th (3pm).

The first action for Nuno’s team is the fixture against Werder Bremen as part of the training camp in Austria, on Wednesday, July 12th (6pm).
