League One title-winning season relived on Wolves ReReviewed

Wolves ReReviewed has saved one of the best seasons till last as the League One title-winning 2013/14 campaign is re-watched, relived and re-reviewed on the official Wolves YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Having taken a look back at Wolves' season review DVDs from the past 30 years, commentator Mikey Burrows, The Athletic’s Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers and comedian Tom Parry return for the final time before the 2019/20 Premier League season resumes as they re-experience the highs of the stunning promotion year.

Powered by Energy Angels, the trio will give their unique insight on a season which saw Wolves immediately recover from back-to-back relegations and returned to the Championship at the first time of asking as Kenny Jackett’s side swept the League One title with a record points tally.

Dropping into the third tier of the English football pyramid for the first time since 1988/89, Jackett was installed as manager and tasked with stopping the rot which had set in at Molineux.

Getting rid of several key first-team players from the past half a decade, only three new signings were made during the summer transfer window, Kevin McDonald, Scott Golbourne and Sam Ricketts, who became club captain, who were complimented by up-and-coming youngsters from Wolves Academy.

The season turned into one of the most successful in Wolves’ history, with just five defeats in the 46 league matches seeing the team return to the Championship as League One champions, with a league record 103 points.

The first part of the final Wolves ReReviewed episode will be shown on the official Wolves YouTube channel and Facebook page at 8pm on Thursday evening, before part two follows at 8pm on Friday.
