Today's goal of the day came as part of one of the most famous hat-tricks ever to be scored by a Wolves player as defender John de Wolf took home the match ball from Port Vale in 1995.
The aptly named centre-half was a cult figure in the mid-90s, spending just the two seasons in gold and black, but the three goals he scored against the Valiants as his side looked to earn promotion into the Premier League is something that will forever go down in Wolves folklore.
