Connor Ronan joins Mikey Burrows in a special episode of Wolves Weekly, as the former Old Gold midfielder talks about life in the USA following his move from Molineux almost 12 months ago.
On this week’s show, the Ireland under-21 international talks about his first year away from Wolves having spent the previous eight as part of the pack, which saw him go from an academy graduate to representing the club in the Premier League.
Although he had been on several loan spells during his last five years at Wolves, in January this year, Ronan left the club on a permanent basis, joining MLS outfit Colorado Rapids, where he was reunited with former Old Gold teammate Jack Price, and the 25-year-old has shone in his first campaign in the US.
In his exclusive chat with Burrows, Ronan talks about being named the club's MVP, players' player of the season and fans' player of the season in his inaugural term in the States, despite Rapids not having the season on the pitch they would have wanted, as well as reflecting on his Wolves journey, which saw his Championship and Premier League debuts coming six years apart.
He also discusses the loan moves which helped develop him into the player and person he is today, his young teammates at Wolves who didn't quite make the breakthrough in gold and black, the coach who impressed him most during his career, and how he finally feels settled and at home in Colorado.
Wolves Weekly is available to listen to on all podcast providers. There is also a host of official and exclusive gold and black content to be found on Wolves Radio, including Matchday Live Extra and Wolves Express.
