Wolves Weekly | Matt Hobbs extended interview

Matt Hobbs joins Mikey Burrows in the latest episode of Wolves Weekly as the sporting director sits down for an extended chat about everything behind the scenes at the club.

As he approaches the end of his first year in the role, Hobbs spoke to Burrows about how the summer has gone for Wolves, including the club's strategy in the latest transfer window, as well as the first few months of the season under Gary O'Neil.

Hobbs also explains how O'Neil was appointed as head coach, and the process that the club carried out to ensure they had the right person for the job, especially with the Premier League season set to get underway just days later.

As well as several other topics, including the departures of Julen Lopetegui and Ruben Neves, the increased opportunities that are being rewarded to academy players and his hopes that the fans will trust the work which is currently going on at Compton Park and Molineux, the sporting director discusses how he believes the 2023/24 campaign to be a transitional year for Wolves as he outlines his vision for Wolves' future.
