What advertisers say - “We’ve seen a big uplift in enquiries since advertising”

Recruitment specialists Pertemps have seen big uplifts in enquiries to their business during their ad campaigns with Wolves, thanks to some of the advanced targeting the platform offers.

Pertemps digital marketing executive, Liam Morgan, said: “We’ve advertised on both the Wolverhampton Wanderers app and website, targeting an audience within a specific location radius of our preference. This advanced targeting has been reflected in the volume of employment opportunity enquiries received in both the Dudley and Wolverhampton Pertemps branches during our campaigns.

“By continuing our ongoing relationship with the club via Wolves Ads, it offers a new opportunity for the local fanbase to seamlessly access new employment opportunities on the Pertemps website.”

Wolves Ads FAQs

A detailed guide to Wolves Ads can be found below – for any other questions please email ads@wolves.co.uk

How does Wolves Ads work?

The ads platform allows businesses to set a timeframe and budget that suits them, spending as much or as little as they like, with advertising rates comparable to other online ad networks and platforms.

You choose how much you spend, the dates you’d like to advertise, the locations you’d like to target (advanced targeting), and you then get shown the estimated number of views your ad will get on the Wolves website and app.

Once you’ve paid and uploaded your advert it will go through our approval process. Once approved the ad will begin to show on the Wolves website and app until the number of views you’ve paid for has been reached.

How much does Wolves Ads cost?

You choose exactly how much you’d like to spend up front – you’ll never pay a penny more until you create another campaign and pay again.

Currently advertising rates are set at £5 for 1,000 ad views on a non-matchday and £10 for 1,000 ad views on a first-team matchday.

So, for example, if you set a budget of £50 you’d receive the following number of views of your advert:

Non-matchday: 10,000 views

Matchday: 5,000 views

Where will my adverts appear?

Depending on the placements chosen when ordering, your adverts will appear on the Wolves App and/or Wolves website. Ads appear halfway down the homepage of each platform and at the bottom of every news story (above the ‘Related content’ block).

How long will my adverts run?

Ads will run until:

  • The number of estimated impressions (views) you have paid for has been met

Or

  • The end time set when creating the advert has expired

In the event that the end time is reached before the impressions paid for has been met, your account will retain the remaining budget which can be used against a future campaign.

Pro tip: By default the platform will try to reach your impressions target as quickly as possible, this may mean that your ad finishes well in advance of your end time. If you’d prefer that your advert appears for a longer period of time, you can check the ‘Split my budget evenly’ box when ordering and your advert will feature less regularly each day but for a longer time period overall. This won’t impact the number of impressions your advert receives but means your budget won’t be spent as quickly.

What do I need to get my adverts up and running?

All that is required is an advert image and a link to your website and you can get your advert online in minutes. Images are required at the following sizes:

App banner: 640 pixels wide by 100 pixels high

Website banner: 728 pixels wide by 90 pixels high

Images are required to be those exact sizes and provided in jpg or png filetypes to be accepted by the platform.

If you are unable to create your own advert images in these sizes we also offer an option for Wolves graphic designers to create something for you – simply choose to have us create the artwork when you create your campaign. Please note there is an additional cost of £120 per image – however you will then own the artwork to use elsewhere if you chose to.

Pro tip: We advise using as little text as possible in your advert other than a strong call to action – ie ‘Shop now’

Can I monitor the results of my adverts?

Once ads are approved and begin running, advertisers can access real-time reporting of views and clicks of their ads, increase budgets and edit the ads using the Wolves Ads console.
