Away matchday guide | Liverpool vs Wolves

Wolves are back on the road again on Wednesday night as Julen Lopetegui’s men head to the north west for a Premier League fixture against Liverpool at Anfield.

A sold-out allocation of almost 3,000 supporters will be travelling to Merseyside for the 8pm kick-off as Wolves look for their first win in three outings.

For those making the journey to Liverpool, here is everything you need to know…

Matchday information

Away supporters will be located in the Anfield Road Stand. There is no direct access to Anfield Road from Stanley Car Park. but please check your tickets for details regarding which turnstile to enter.

Turnstiles will open at two hours before kick-off for visiting fans. Fans are advised to arrive early at the stadium to allow enough time for necessary security checks.

Visiting Wolves fans will enter via entrances N, O and P and must approach Anfield Road from the direction of 97 Avenue as there is no access from the direction of Arkles Lane. At the end of the game when leaving the stadium, please turn left.

Access from the Away Coach Parking and Stanley Car Park is along Dahlia Walk to 97 Avenue.

Before entering the ground, there are many local pubs around the area. The Arkles Pub (located just next to Anfield Road) and the Sandon (located on Walton Breck Road) welcome home and away supporters.

If you are travelling to Anfield via train, Lime Street Railway Station is two miles. Buses are fast frequent and convenient with ‘express’ services that will get supporters to and from Anfield and Liverpool City Centre in around 15 minutes.

The 917 is operating from Commutation Row in the City Centre. Prices from £2.20 for single journey, £4.40 for a return journey or £12 return ticket for groups of four are available. Under-19’s can travel for just £1.

The Soccerbus runs from Sandhills Station, on the Merseyrail Northern Line, to Anfield for all Premier League matches. The Soccerbus runs two hours before each match (last bus from Sandhills Station is approximately 15 minutes before kick-off).

Accessible Information

Public transport around Merseyside is generally accessible for wheelchair users. There are 12 wheelchair bays available at Anfield, while headsets for blind supporters are available to order through the same email address.
