Travel disruption likely to affect supporters this weekend

Supporters heading to Molineux this Saturday for the first home Premier League game of the season against Fulham may have their journey affected by roadworks and industrial action in the local area.

Due to ongoing work as part of the M6 Junction 10 improvement scheme, the A454 Black Country Route and parts of the M6 J10 Roundabout will be reduced to one lane this weekend while essential work is carried out.

Supporters are advised to use an alternative route to join the motorway, rather than using the eastbound Black Country Route towards junction 10. To avoid disruption, the preferred routes would ask traffic to use the Stafford Road to M54 and M6 where the main carriageways are unaffected, or alternatively to re-route towards the M5 J1 or 2.

More information on junction 10 disruption can be found on the National Highways website here.

In addition to the roadworks taking place, West Midlands Rail have confirmed that they will not be operating services due to planned industrial action. Other operators will be running services however supporters are advised to check online journey planners in advance of the game to see how they may be impacted.

More information on this industrial action can be found on the West Midlands Railway website here.

Local bus and metro services will be running their usual services; however these services may be busier than usual due to the disruption affecting other transport methods. Supporters are advised to plan their trip to and from the stadium ahead of time to ensure any disruption is factored into their plans.
