Torin Page becomes Wolves’ first esports signing

Professional FIFA esports player Torin Page, better known as TheTurin27, has become Wolves’ first official esports player.

TheTurin27 signs for the club for the FIFA 2019 season, where he will represent Wolves in the Sony PlayStation 4 category.

Torin, a 21-year-old from South London, is one of UK’s most gifted FIFA esports players and signs off the back of Wolves' official partnership with Bundled announced last month.

Last season, Torin qualified for the FUT Championship regionals in Barcelona as number eight worldwide, where he eventually reached the last 32.

After this impressive performance Torin passed up the chance to compete at further regionals in favour of concentrating on the final year of his studies.

This summer Torin graduated from Nottingham University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and he has now chosen to embark on a professional esports career with Wolves.

Torin said: “Watching Wolves play against Manchester City was a real pleasure and the style play matches mine in many ways.

“I think with Wolves I can be successful over the coming years and I believe by playing for the best club in the West Midlands my own game can develop further as well.

“I’m really looking forward to the new FIFA season and I can’t wait to represent Wolves on both a national and international level.”

Wolves head of marketing Russell Jones said, “We are delighted to welcome Torin to the club and look forward to watching him compete for us in FIFA 19.”
