Match Preview | Bolton Wanderers v Wolves

Wolves travel to Bolton Wanderers knowing one points would see them crowned Championship title winners for 2017/18.

Last week promotion to the Premier League was confirmed and Nuno Espirito Santo’s men now have three fixtures to move out of sight of Cardiff City. Last weekend Diogo Jota and Benik Afobe fired Wolves to victory over Birmingham City, making it six matches unbeaten in the Championship, five of which were victories. With the best away record in the division, Wolves travel to the Macron Stadium confident of claiming a 14th away win and completing the job.

The Opposition

Bolton Wanderers still have work to do to avoid the drop. They sit two points above Barnsley, who are in the final relegation spot, but the Tykes hold an extra game advantage. Last week the pair share the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Oakwell, with Bolton conceding late to drop two points. Promoted from League One last season, Bolton have flirted with relegation all season but will remain hopeful with fixtures against Burton Albion and Nottingham Forest still to come.

Around The Championship

Millwall and Fulham meet on Friday evening at the Den, while Aston Villa travel to Ipswich Town on Saturday. Derby and Middlesbrough do battle at Pride Park and Cardiff City welcome Forest to Wales for the late kick-off.
