Tribute Ahead of Swansea Cup Tie

The club will pay tribute to the late John ‘Foz’ Hendley ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Swansea City following the sad and unexpected news of his passing earlier this week.

Supporters are urged to arrive at Molineux early as a commemorative video will be played on the big screens 15 minutes before kick-off.

After the sides walk out, and shortly before kick-off, a minute’s applause will then be held in Foz’s memory. And, during the applause, commemorative wreaths will be placed in front of both the North Bank and the South bank.

As a mark of respect, players will also wear black armbands during the fixture.

As well as members of Foz’s friends and family, a list of former players and managers in attendance at Saturday’s game includes: Jody Craddock, Geoff Palmer, Mel Eves, John McAlle, Gerry Taylor, Colin Brazier, Phil Parkes and Dave Jones.

Accompanying picture is of Foz in the South bank during the last game of 92/93 season against Millwall, the last game the South Bank was a terrace. Taken by Dave Bagnall.
