The talented winger, who signed his first professional contract last month, scored either side of half-time as the under-18s progressed to the next round of the FA Youth Cup at Molineux. The 17-year-old has been at the club since the under-9s and now regularly wears the armband for Steve Davis’ team, so representing his club at Molineux was a night he’ll never forget, but he’s hoping for more to come.
On playing at Molineux
“I’m a Wolves supporter and it’s one of my dreams to play here, so I’m glad it’s come true. I’d love to play in a stadium like Molineux, when it’s packed full of fans.”
On getting the win
“It was a great win, I thought. We were a bit sloppy at times, we brought our levels down due to the fact we were up quite early, and by quite a margin.
“In the next round, we need to up our standards, because it may not work against a higher level team, as we go through the competition. But we’re happy with the result and I’m happy with my goals as well.”
On getting his goals
“I’m enjoying it. Obviously, everyone loves scoring. I was glad I got the goals; I feel like it boosted my performance. I could have been better in other areas, but obviously the goals help the team to get the win – that’s the main thing.”
On big aspirations
“I think we can win it. I think we’ve got the team, the depth, the squad – everything to be able to win this competition so hopefully we do.”
