Ricketts joined the Wolves Academy on a part-time basis in August before being permanently appointed as the lead coach of the Under 16s in November.
The 36 year old also made over 50 appearances for Wolves during a spell between 2013 and 2015 during which he also captained the club.
After being forced to call time on his playing career early through a serious knee injury in November 2016, he completed his UEFA A Licence with the FAW, while having embarked on his Pro Licence qualification.
He has now signed a three-year-deal with Wrexham AFC who play their football in the National League.
Everyone at Wolves would like to thank Sam for his services to the club and we wish him all the best for the future.
