Robert Plant CBE

Rock legend and Wolves supporter Robert Plant CBE was named a vice president of his boyhood club in 2009.

Plant is best known as the lead singer of rock band Led Zeppelin, from 1968 to 1980, in which time the band released eight studio albums, which provided many songs played on matchdays at Molineux over the years.

Away from the band, Plant also enjoyed a successful solo career, which brought 11 studio albums, the most recent of which came in 2017.

Plant was aged five when he first watched Wolves and, still to this day, he insists that legendary captain Billy Wright waved to him, and that was the moment he was hooked.

Having watched Wolves for 55 years, on 14th August 2009 Plant became a vice president on the pitch during half-time of the club’s Premier League fixture with West Ham United at Molineux.
