Three days on from Sunday’s remarkable comeback victory which saw Wolves win 4-3 after being 3-0 down against Nottingham Forest, the Old Gold are back on home soil for one last time in 2023/24.

Just like on the opening day of the season way back in August, Derby are the opponents for Dan McNamara’s side.

The Ewes are fresh from winning the FAWNL Plate trophy for the first-ever time following a 3-0 success over Cambridge United on the weekend.

Managed by Sam Griffiths, Derby currently sit eighth in the Northern Premier Division table having accumulated 23 points from 19 games.

Meanwhile, Wolves are currently on a six-game winning run and have closed the gap on third-placed Forest to just six points with a game in hand.

Back on the opening day, Wolves were 2-1 winners at Derby thanks to goals from Ellie Wilson on her debut and Amber Hughes.
