Agbadou | 'We're not going to give up'

Emmanuel Agbadou insists the Wolves players are going to give everything possible to ensure the remainder of their season is better than what they’ve experienced so far.

Sat bottom of the Premier League table on two points from their 15 top flight games so far this term, the Old Gold’s latest defeat came at the hands of Manchester United at Molineux on Monday night.

Wolves have been bottom of the league at Christmas before and still avoided the drop, and although it’s going to take a miraculous turnaround if the team are going to repeat that feat this season, Agbadou is adamant that the players are still fighting to improve.

On defeat to United

“We didn’t finish the few chances we had. That’s it.

“If we want to win a match, we have to be able to put away the chances we get, and they were sharper than us. That is what made the difference.

“Now we’re going to go back to the training ground and try to work on what we’re missing.”

On the difference between the sides

“It was a bit because of Manchester, but also the intensity. In the second half we didn’t win enough duels. They were more aggressive in that area and they took advantage of it.

“They were very good on the counter, and they also had some favourable breaks that they made the most of. That’s what made the difference.”

On not giving up

“When you’re in the situation we’re in and things happen like that, it becomes difficult, but we’re not going to give up.

“We’re going to try to give everything to at least finish our season well.”
