Strand Larsen nets in Burnley draw

Jorgen Strand Larsen netted his first goal of pre-season as Wolves played out a 1-1 draw with fellow Premier League side Burnley in Saturday's training ground match.

Wolves had shaded proceedings early on in the Portuguese sun and when Fer Lopez’s corner was cleared as far as Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, his return looked destined for the net but came back off the inside of the post and into the hands of the Burnley goalkeeper.

There was nothing he could do about the opening goal however, as Ki-Jana Hoever motored down the right and fizzed in a low cross which Strand Larsen tucked home for 1-0.

Vitor Pereira changed the majority of his eleven around the hour mark, but shortly after Burnley pulled level when Quilindschy Hardman set up Jacob Bruun Larsen to convert.

The Old Gold pushed on in the closing stages, with Sasa Kalajdzic finding a number of threatening positions, but no further goal scoring opportunities materialised as both sides settled for a draw.
