Wolves Express | Ending the season with a point

The latest Wolves Express reflects on a disappointing season which came to an end with a point on the road at Burnley on Sunday and the big rebuild needed at Molineux this summer.

As the Old Gold brought their eight-year stint in the Premier League to an end at Turf Moor, Rob Edwards and Adam Armstrong look back at a game of two halves in Lancashire after the visitors dominated much of the opening 45 minutes before allowing the hosts to turn the result around after the break.

Edwards is up first as he gave his assessment of the performance, explains why he was disappointed his players were not able to capitalise more on their first-half opportunities, discusses the possibility of some of his team having played their final matches in gold and black and looks ahead at building a stronger squad this summer.

Armstrong also echoes his head coach's thoughts, after being left frustrated by the final result and second-half display, why he felt Wolves should have done better after he put the team ahead early from the penalty spot, while giving his thoughts on the future, including the exciting prospects of Mateus Mane and debutant Jerome Abbey.

Listeners can also hear from Matchday Live Extra duo of Mikey Burrows - in his final game as club commentator following 11 years in the role - and Andy Thompson as they reflect on the last eight years in the Premier League and discuss what exactly needs to change this summer if Wolves are to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
