The head coach also reveals why he went with a stronger line-up than expected against the Shrews, the importance of keeping the momentum going which the team have built up in their unbeaten start to 2026 and why he would love a cup run this season.

After scoring on his return from injury as he helped Wolves assert their dominance in the second half, Gomes chats about how frustrating it has been to sit on the sidelines over the last three months, unable to help his team during a difficult period, while expressing his delight at making the perfect comeback to the side.
