The first two contracts of the new season for Wolves Women duo Beth Roberts and Abbi Jenner is the topic of conversation in the latest episode of Wolves Express.
Fresh from signing on the dotted line to tie their future to Wolves with their first contracts with the club, Roberts and Jenner both describe just how excited they are to be part of an exciting era of Wolves Women.
But first up is manager Dan McNamara who explains why the duo have become the fourth and fifth women's first-team players to be offered part-time contracts and what he expects from both of them now their place in the squad has been secured for the 2025/26 FAWNL Northern Premier Division campaign.
Roberts - who has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons with the Old Gold following a move from Stoke City - admits Wolves has always felt like home for her following the switch in 2023 and could not see herself playing for another team in the upcoming campaign.
She also reveals what McNamara has discussed with her during the summer, how easy it was to make the decision to sign her first contract with the club and what she hopes the future holds for herself and the team.
After spending last season on loan from WSL2 outfit Birmingham City, Jenner reveals her delight in making her loan move to Molineux permanent with the new contract and how her experiences during her first season of senior women's football in gold and black last year convinced her to sign.
The 20-year-old also discusses how she has settled into the club after her debut season, what she hopes to achieve this season and how she's looking forward to what she hopes will be an exciting future in Old Gold.
