Wolves Express | Mane makes his senior debut and Ikeme returns home

Mateus Mane joins the Wolves Express podcast for an exclusive chat about making his Premier League debut on Saturday, while legendary goalkeeper Carl Ikeme discusses his return to Compton Park.

In his first interview after becoming Wolves' youngest ever Premier League player when he came off the bench against Brighton & Hove Albion at Molineux, Mane admits just how nervous he was when he got that call from Vitor Pereira to get ready to come on.

The England under-18 star also shares how the first-team players have taken him under their wing, what it's like to have the confidence of his head coach and how he tries to make his family proud every time he steps out onto the pitch.

Mane also reveals where his international future could lie after the Portuguese-born forward is wanted by both countries, while he also outlines his hopes for the future now he's had a taste of senior football in gold and black.

Former Wolves goalkeeper Ikeme was back at Compton this week as he prepares to start his coaching badge courses this summer and the stopper has been invited by Pereira and his coaching staff to watch one of their training sessions, before getting the chance to work with the under-21s later this week.

Ikeme discusses how he feels back at home every time he returns to the training ground, why he feels the time is now right for him to look towards his future and he also gives his thoughts on what Pereira has brought to the squad during the second half of the campaign and his optimism around next season.

Released three times a week – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – Wolves Express is packed with news, updates and exclusive interviews on both the playing and non-playing side of the club, complementing other offerings of the Official Wolves Podcast and Matchday Live Extra.
