Lee Evans arrived at Wolves as highly-rated 18-year-old in January, 2013, signed from Newport County.

He had broken into the Newport team during the 2011/12 season and won a place in the starting line-up in the FA Trophy Final against York City at Wembley in May, 2012.

Wolves beat off a lot of interest to land Evans, who enjoyed an impressive first half season for the Under-21s before starting the 2013/14 season as a first choice midfielder, grabbing his first goal in the 4-0 win against Gillingham.

After a spell out the team Evans returned with a good degree of success, adding his second goal for the club in a key win against Preston, and finished the season having regained his place in the centre of midfield.

Evans started the 2014/15 season in excellent form, landing his first senior international call-up as a result, and produced some standout performances in the Wolves engine room.

He took his overall Wolves appearances to within one of a half century, but found opportunities limited over the final three months of the season.

As a result he enjoyed a loan spell for almost the entire 2015/16 season with Bradford City, scoring four goals in 41 appearances as he helped the Bantams to the League One play-offs.

Evans was then back with Wolves for the following pre-season, ready to build on his experience and try and force his way back in to the regular first team set-up.
