Biography

Welsh youth international Chem Campbell became the second youngest senior starter in Wolves history when he was named in the side for the Carabao Cup clash against Aston Villa back in 2019.

Having made the switch from Birmingham City three years earlier, he flourished at Wolves Academy and quickly progressed up the age categories to become a first-team squad member under Bruno Lage.

Before the 2022/23 season, Campbell was a key man in James Collins’ under-21 team, representing the development side in their first season in Premier League 2 Division 1 which was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following relegation, Campbell starred in the second tier, leading the team as top goalscorer during the 2021/22 campaign as the side earned promotion back to the top flight of youth football.

Throughout that season, Campbell was a regular on the bench in the Premier League, but it took until April 2022 to make his senior league bow, as he came off the bench away at Newcastle United.

His second Premier League appearance occurred on the opening day of the 2022/23 campaign, as he replaced Hee Chan Hwang in leading the Wolves attack against Leeds United.
