Benik Afobe returned to Wolves on deadline day of 2018, signing on loan from AFC Bournemouth for the remainder of the season.
The DR Congo forward, who scored 23 goals in 48 games for Wolves, rejoins the club after leaving for Bournemouth in 2016.
Afobe first came to prominence as a prolific goal scorer in Arsenal’s academy, leading to him signing professional terms aged just 17.
After a number of injury affected loan moves, he jumped to peoples attention with 19 goals in 30 games on loan with MK Dons, including 2 goals in the League One sides 4-0 win over Manchester United in the League Cup in August 2014.
It was that form that persuaded Wolves to bring him to Molineux in January 2015, where he scored on his debut after coming on as a sub against Blackpool.
He would go on to score 13 goals in 21 appearances as Kenny Jackett’s team just missed out on the Championship play offs.
Having scored Wolves first goal of the new 2015/16 season he’d go on to score 10 times in 27 games before moving to the Premier League with Bournemouth, scoring in 3 of his first 4 games in the top flight.
