Wolves Women earned their first ever WSL2 win after beating Sheffield United 3-1 at the SEAH Stadium.
Goals from Amber Hughes, Amy Sims, and Yana Daniëls sealed all three points and a first ever victory in WSL football for The Old Gold in front of a packed-out crowd at Telford.
Wolves had a chance early on, after a free-kick found Charlotte Greengrass at the back post who managed to steer it to Anna Morphet whose headed effort went inches over the bar.
Just minutes later, Mel Lawley showed great skill on the right-hand side and whipped a cross into the box which found Greengrass, whose effort rattled off the post.
Sheffield United started to threaten in what was turning out to be an end-to-end game, as Ava Baker took a shot from outside the box which crashed against the woodwork.
Just minutes before half-time, Emily Orman was forced into making a fantastic save at her near post after a powerful low-driven effort from Lucy Quinn.

Wolves' first ever goal in WSL 2 came in some style just after the break as Hughes picked the ball up on the edge of the box and found the top right corner with a pinpoint strike for 1-0.
In the space of 15 minutes Wolves made it 2-0, as Amy Sims' right-footed rocket from the edge of the box looped over the goalkeeper into the back of the net.
Not long after United were able to grab one back, as Emily Orman punched away an incoming cross the ball fell to the feet of Mollie Rouse who was able to guide the ball home.
Wolves restored their two-goal lead in the 81st minute following great work down the right-hand side from Mel Filis who found Daniëls in acres of space to fire home.
