Wolves’ Adobe Women’s FA Cup second round tie with Stoke City at the SEAH Stadium has been selected for live broadcast by TNT Sports and will now take place on Friday, 21st November with a 7.30pm kick-off.
As part of TNT’s deal with the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, one tie in the first round and second round have been chosen for broadcast, with Channel 4 showing one tie per round from the third round onwards. TNT aired Middlesbrough’s 4-0 win over Cheadle Town in the first round and the cameras will now descend on the SEAH Stadium for Friday night football later this month.
Wolves have made the fifth round of the competition for the last two seasons and will be hoping to do the same this year, but must first get past a Potters side that they have already faced twice in the league and League Cup this campaign. Dan McNamara’s side made it through to the second round with a 2-1 win over Rugby Borough, while Stoke City progressed after a 7-0 win over Sutton Coldfield Town.
The match will mark the first time Wolves Women have ever been broadcast on national television and we are encouraging all Wolves fans to get down to Telford to support the team as they look to create more FA Cup history.
