Venue change for Black Country derby

This afternoon’s Black Country derby between Wolves Women and West Bromwich Albion Women will now be played at the club’s training ground, Compton Park.

Following a pitch inspection, a waterlogged pitch at the New Bucks Head has been deemed unplayable.

With the tie required to take place by today and having already faced one postponement last month, both clubs have worked together this morning and agreed to switch the venue to ensure the fixture is fulfilled.

A limited number of 150 tickets will go on general sale for today’s game at Compton HERE. Gates will be open from 1.30pm and please note season ticket holders do not gain free entry.

Parking will be available at St. Peter’s Collegiate Academy and please note that no refreshments will be available on site.

Supporters who have purchased a ticket via the Telford ticketing site will automatically receive a refund.

We understand that this means the majority of supporters will be left disappointed and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Supporters unable to secure a ticket for the game at Compton Park will be able to follow live updates via @WolvesWomen on X/Twitter and listen to live commentary HERE.
